Gary Kemp imagine Spandau Ballet turned famous musical

Gary Kemp imagine to the Spandau Ballet could be turned into a famous musical, he stand a ladder of higgest musical he wants a courtroom.

Mindful no doubt of what Mamma Mia! (and the film of that musical) did for Abba's fortunes, Gary Kemp tells me he is toying with the idea of Spandau Ballet. "It's a great idea," the band's guitarist and chief songwriter told me.

Between the band's members, Kemp added with a nod to the occasional legal spats, that he hopes a courtroom would make a good condition, he says, "I see it with some touches of Gilbert and Sullivan and all set in a court".

Tony Hadley member watched enamoured of the notion and said, "Those sort of musicals seldom work".

Spandau Ballet – the Musical is Gary Kemp's dream

Mindful no doubt of what Mamma Mia! (and the film of that musical) did for Abba's fortunes, Gary Kemp tells me he is toying with the idea of Spandau Ballet – The Musical.

"It's a great idea," the band's guitarist and chief songwriter told me at the CLIC Sargent Fantasy Ball at the Dorchester Hotel in Mayfair. With a nod to the the occasional legal spats between the band's members, Kemp added that he thought a courtroom would make a good setting."I see it with some touches of Gilbert and Sullivan and all set in a court," he says.

Fellow band member Tony Hadley seemed less enamoured of the notion: "Those sort of musicals seldom work," he said.

John Denham, the grey-haired shadow business secretary, has been a vocal supporter of the students protesting about tuition fees.

Mandrake fancies it would have been hard for him to have condemned their rowdy behaviour. As president of the Students' Union at Southampton University in the 1970s, he led an occupation of the university's administration offices.

It was in protest against the increases in student tuition fees that the university was then attempting to impose. Looking at Denham these days, one wouldn't have thought that the old boy had it in him.

Fans Still Waiting For Spandau Ballet Classical Music

Chain listener fans of Spandau Ballet who enjoyed the songs of 1980's may wish to keep there ears on for news of a musical telling the story of the band's journey into the pop industry.

Chief songwriter Gary Kemp of the band at the recent CLIC Sargent Fantasy Ball in Mayfair told Mandrake of the Telegraph he would love to turn their history into a story for the stage.

"I see it with some touches of Gilbert and Sullivan and all set in a court," he mused, perhaps alluding to the infamous spats between band members over the years. "It's a great idea."

However, Tony Hadley was there to rain on his parade, grumpily commenting: "Those sorts of musicals seldom work."

Spandau Ballet is one of the most popular band of the year 1980s, the band which was originally formed in 1970s.

They achieved ten top ten singles that decade, including the much-loved True.

Although they split in 1990, they reformed last year and went on a new tour.

Spandau Ballet Reformation Tour

It's really good to hear that Spandau Ballet had a reunion tour. Spandau Ballet announced there lived tour in Australia and fan had visions of trying to find an airfare back to the UK on top of concert tickets!!!!

On the day of concert there was a huge number of fans out there to attend the concert of Spandau Ballet which shows that they are still having a large number of fans list. Finally the concert starts in Australia "The introduction of the concert was like this video from the 02 in London last year when they kicked off the show. The picture montage leading up to the band being revealed really help to build the excitement. The screams as they introduced each member of the band were definitely louder and longer for Martin than the others (and he just happens to be my favorite, but it wasn't all me - honest!)"

Spandau Ballet Tickets

Spandau Ballet is one of the renowned British band that get a lot of praising in 1980s. In the Beginning inspired by the New Romantic fashion, Spandau Ballet quickly steered in to a mixture of funk, jazz and soul then finally mellowed into a mainstream pop act. Spandau Ballet continued to be tagged New Romantics, though, well into the mid '80s, long after that genre had waned, and their own style had long since changed.

All Spandau Ballet Concert Tickets are available on gigsport.

Abba back together.

Spandau Ballet are back together, even Bros are rumoured to be thinking about it. It is an age of re-formation.

There remains one glaring exception, of course, and their name is Abba. For too long the former members of this band have ignored the demands of their old fans and a new generation turned on to their music by its endless appearances on wedding playlists and latterly, by the film Mamma Mia!

Their fans demand another tour!
